Here are some favourites from my growing collection of aurora photography! 🌌

These are from a fieldwork evening at KHO in February 2018:

These two are from different substorms later in February 2018, taken during another fieldwork evening at the EISCAT Svalbard radar.

While much more impressive in the near total darkness up on Breinosa, the aurorae on Svalbard can certainly also be enjoyed from Longyearbyen itself - although it pays to seek out a dark corner, for example near the harbour!
